Friday, November 6, 2009 finds the weather in Bellingham, WA cold and wet after our windstorm yesterday. Did any of you suffer damage to your homes or mischief in general caused by the wind? Our basketball hoop (weighted down by sand) was blown over - a first, and we've had it for several years through greater windstorms than last night.
NEW AND SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS! The Bellingham office of the Washington State Dept. of Revenue is offering a free workshop at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Labor and Industries/DSHS Building, 1720 Ellis Street. Participants will learn about Washington excise taxes, reporting classifications, deductions, tax incentives, sales tax collection and record-keeping requirements. All will receive a workbook and reference guide to Dept. of Revenue rules and regulations.
